1. Strict Chemical Composition Requirements
Generally, bearing steel is mainly high-carbon chromium-bearing steel. Chromium can improve thermal treatment performance, organize uniformity, ignition stability, and improve the rust-proof and grinding performance of steel. Only by strictly controlling the chemical ingredients in the bearing steel can the tissue and hardness of the bearing performance be obtained through thermal processing processes.
2. Higher Dimensional Accuracy Requirements
For the bearing steel for forging on a high-speed forged machine, it should have higher requirements for its size and accuracy. Rolling shaft bearing steel requires high size and accuracy because most of the bearing parts must be formed by pressure. If the size of the steel is not high, it cannot accurately calculate the size and weight of the feeding, and cannot ensure the quality of the bearing parts, and it is also easy to cause damage to equipment and molds.
3. Especially Strict Purity Requirements
The purity of steel refers to the amount of non-metal mixed objects contained in the steel. The higher the purity, the fewer non-metallic miscellaneous materials in the steel. Therefore, in order to improve the service life and reliability of the bearing, the content of debris in the bearing steel must be reduced.
4. Strict Carbide Unevenness Requirements
In the bearing steel, if severe carbide distribution occurs unevenly, it is easy to cause uneven tissue and hardness during the thermal treatment process. The unevenness of the steel tissue has a great impact on contact fatigue intensity. In addition, severe carbide unevenness can also easily cause cracks when bearing parts are quenched and cooled, and uneven carbides can also cause the life of the bearing to reduce the life.
5. Strict Surface Decarburization Depth Requirements
In the bearing material standard, there are strict regulations on the surface decarburization layer of the steel surface. If the surface decarburization layer exceeds the specified scope of the standard, and the processing process before the heat treatment is not removed, it will be removed.
